NRL app Samsung Galaxy Tab A & Note 10+ not going to fullscreen or landscape

Hi

For a while now when watching live NRL games on the app on either Samsung Galaxy Tab A or Samsung Note 10+ it doesn't go to fullscreen or landscape.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled on both devices and checked that rotation is enabled.

There seems to be an issue with the app

Hello @fudge1979au,

Thanks for your message, apologies for any issues with the NRL App.

The previous update released included a fix for this issue, other community members have reported

the fix did resolve the problem. If the Tab A has a screen larger than 7", there will be a border

and stats around the screen as 7" is the maximum video size we can supply for a live stream.

Could you please check for an update for the NRL App in the Play Store, if you are already using the latest

update or if the update still doesn't help, also clear the App memory (settings>apps>NRL>storage), then turn

the devices off for a few minutes before reattempting.

If you are still not having any luck, could you please confirm which app version is installed on both,

and if replays etc. are also impacted, or just live streams.

Re: Tab A. yes it the 8 inch. it says in the play store that it updated to the latest version, but still doesn't auto rotate to landscape, is this because of the limited to 7 inch? I don't mind that it is limited, but just annoying that it doesn't rotate.

Thanks for those details, glad to see at least your phone is working correctly.

The screen restriction does not impact auto rotate, it just means it won't go full

screen, there will be a black border and possibly stats as well.

Do other apps that play video (like youtube) auto rotate when you watch a video?

Is it all video in the app impacted, or only live matches?

Did you try clearing the cache? (settings>apps>NRL>storage)

If you still aren't having any luck please let us know the exact device details, this can be

found in settings>about, as well as what steps have been troubleshooted.
