Deactivate prepaid sim card



I have a Telstra prepaid sim that I have not used for about 8 months and in my account it says it has been deactivated.


Can you tell me if I can reactivate it and have the same number as I need this number to receive a code for something I need to do urgently?

No, sorry. 6 months after the last recharge, the SIM is deactivated and the phone number is returned to the pool to be reallocated.


You would need to buy a new SIM and call 125 8887 to see if you could get your old number back.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
