How long does a SIM stay active on the network when airtime credit is depleted?

Hi

I have a pre-paid SIM, which is really only a call-me number in case of emergencies (i.e., I can carry it when I want people to be able to call me, but do not have the need to make calls on it).

I got the SIM with a smalll starter pack, but the airtime has expired (it was valid for six months). How long do I have to recharge the SIM before it gets taken off the network? In other words, I know I can't make calls with the SIM, but I can still receive calls on it. How long will I still be able to do that?

It is usually 6 months after the expiry date of your last recharge that the sim and phone number get deactivated.

As the above link says 3, 6 or 12 months, it would be best for you to contact Telstra directly either via Live Chat

Or ring Prepaid on 1258880.

They'll be able to look at your account and tell you the exact time for the offer you are on.
