I can't activate my pre paid Sim card online

When I try to activate a prepaid SIM card online it gets as far as I'd verification and tells me that my I'd details are incorrect and won't go any further. I've spent more time than any moral person should trying to find a phone number to call Telstra on, but it a dead end. Please help me

Try the numbers below.

I'm not sure if they are open again yet, Telstra's call centers are on a skeleton crew.


125 8880 Prepaid enquiries

125 8887 Prepaid activations


If you can't get through you will have to use the my Telstra app

Send a message, blue icon, bottom right of Get Help screen

I don't work for Telstra, Never have, I am just a Telstra customer like you.
So the advice I give is my own, In my own time, Guided by my own experience/knowledge.
Which I am always happy to be corrected on.

Thanks for the numbers. Unfortunately Telstra seem to have a new customer service policy where they are prepared to go to extraordinary lengths not to talk to customers. All I was trying to do was activate a Sim card.  Looks like I'll have to go to a different provider

Did you have a Telstra account before or is it a new one? Are you using those credentials to log in for the activation?
