I have been told my order was cancelled several times, yet the order is still processing?

Hi all, i preordered the iPhone 12 pro on Friday October the 23rd not realising it wasn't the 12 Pro Max and messaged the live chat system within 24 hours to cancel the order. I spoke to 'PJ' and they said the cancellation would be processed on the 24th of October. 4 days later I check the order tracker and it still says there is an open order in progress, so I then contact the live chat once again explaining that I tried to have this order cancelled an it still wasn't processed. 'Faith' then tells me they can see that the order is still in progress, and they will request a cancellation which will take up to 24 hours to complete. It is now the 2nd of November and I am starting to worry that the iPhone will be delivered to me and that the order will not be cancelled. Please help
