Pre Paid Data

Not a technology  person, I have always used the $30 Pre-Paid plan, and for the first time in 4 years.

For the very first time I have Data Zero 22 Days left with Credits $35.85 ? Don't understand.

I did a $10 top up thinking I would get some data back, Data remained as zero and credits went up ?

My phone still works and so to the internet / I haven't seen any change in the operation of my phone other then when I go to the Telstra 24/7 app, It shows 0-GB / 22 Days Left / Credits $35.85 / Expires on 21st October 2020.

Can some one please enplane this in basic terms so I can get my head around what is happening and what I should do please! Other wise I guess it's waiting in line at a Telstra store.
