Prepaid SIM card activation

After purchase, is there time limit to activate a telstra prepaid sim card, for a mobile and does the card ever expire if not recharged for a period?

Hi bw4161,

There should be an expiry date on the packaging of the Pre-Paid sim card that it has to be activated by.

Once it's been activated and a recharge put on....you usually have up to 6 months after the expiry date of your last recharge to recharge again or the sim will automatically be deactivated.

Yes. There is an expiry date printed on the back of the pack telling you when you must activate by.

6 months after your last recharge expires, the SIM is permanently disabled and the number becomes available for reissue.
