Will I keep my prepaid credit if I switch to a new SIM card with the same phone number?
I suspect my SIM card is playing up, so I've bought a new one for $2. But I want to make sure that when I activate it (keeping the same phone number), I won't lose the prepaid credit that I've still got left on my account.
I assume any credit I have is tied to the ACCOUNT, not the SIM card. I still have over 40GB of data remaining for 300 days, so you can see why I want to double-check before I activate the new SIM. I'm not on a plan, it's just prepaid.
Thanks in advance for any responses Happy New Year.

You want be able to use the SIM card with your current account and phone number. The SIM comes with its own number. Only ported in phone numbers can be used with SIM. You can order a new replacement SIM programed with your account via the My Telstra app or by going to a Telstra store.
