change a mobile prepaid phone number to previous number

Hi,

I have landline, mobile and internet on the one monthly telstra account.

I bought a samsung galaxy ace 3 and didn't realise it was a prepaid device, and to my understanding it has a mobile number different to the one I already have.

Later, telstra also sent me a mobile phone in a "starter kit" which I don't want.

I have not yet turned these devices on.

I wish to have the samsung use my original mobile number.

Can I take the sim card out of the "starter kit" and use it in the samsung device?

That way maybe I get my original mobile number into the samsung.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: change a mobile prepaid phone number to previous number

Hi Zacco,

If you take your phone into one of our stores,  http://tel.st/uyc2 they will be able to revert the phone to your original number, as long as the number is still in your ownership, The SIM from the starter kit should not be required.

Kind Regards
