New mobile internet plan?

I bought a Telstra plan for my J1 mini on Thursday and my phone hasn't worked since. (It's now Saturday morning.) It stopped working with my previous sim card as soon as I bought the plan. And then, even after the new sim card arrived by registered mail yesterday, and I inserted it, and activated it online, and received an email telling me it would work within 4 hours, it did not work at all. It's now 14 hours since I received the email. How long should I wait? Is there something else I should be doing? Thanks for any help you can give.

If you haven't already just turn the phone off and back on.If no luck with that i would contact telstra and make sure the sim has been activated and there has been no hold up with the activation
