new mobile rules

• You’ll no longer be able to make or receive voice calls using your mobile broadband service. You’ll still be able to use your data to make calls via apps such as Skype, but if you put your mobile broadband, data or tablet SIM into a mobile phone, you won’t be able to make or receive voice calls.

In english - what does this mean? Will I be able to make Zoom, Skype or messenger calls?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: new mobile rules

This applies to mobile broadband sims not phone sims. With a broadband sim you have been able to put it in a phone and make calls with VOLTE this is being stopped but it will not impact on you using skype , messenger etc

I am not a Telstra employee, so all opinions are my own, I have been around Telstra products a long time and have a reasonably strong general tech knowledge. .
