Samsung RCS messaging

Does anyone know when telstra will bring back RCS setting to samsung

I purchased my phone through telstra - the Z fold - and I dont have the TEL setting in the service provider section. 

I logged a fault with telstra & they have said it fixed - but still nothing. 

have spoken to samsung & they have said its up to telstra to fix - it has nothing to do with them.

Telstra don't control that part of the firmware, that is done by Samsung - it is set at the factory. It's been a problem since Samsung changed the way their firmware worked, which means it doesn't pick up the correct settings even if you load the Telstra branded firmware.


As a workaround to get RCS working, have you tried using the Google Messages app instead?

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Yes I have tried the Google messaging App - but I prefer to use the samsung messsaging app. and the RCS does not working - I tested it this mroning. still goes through as standard Text on Google messages 

Samsung are blaming Telstra & telstra are blaming Samsung - so who knows
