Sorry Something went wrong

I purchased Samsung Galaxy Smart watch 46mm LTE yesterday. I've successfully paired with phone. The problem: I am unable to get past the Telstra Login via Samsung Gear app. I am presented with Telstra One number activated, next step login. No joy ... "Sorry Something went wrong" anyone know a work around?
PS I've had one live chat session with Telstra, a live chat session with Samsung and a voice call with Telstra which ended go back to store for someone to look at problem.
