Telstra S21 nordVPN

I have recently purchased a Samsung S21 through Telstra and found that when I am on the mobile network have a VPN connected, my apps and internet browsers do not work. This issue is solved when my VPN is turned off or when I am connected to my home WIFI network (VPN active on the WIFI).

 

I have tried using different countries servers as well as obfuscated servers on the VPN software to no avail. The mobile network stays connected (5G/4G symbol next to the signal bars still indicates data transfer), but the internet based apps do not seem to receive/upload this data.

 

This software was used on my previous Samsung S8 and worked fine, so not sure what has changed between the old model and new.

I was having the same problem. Switch the proocole to OpenVPN(TCP) or (UDP). Nord Lynx doesn't work.
