We recently sent you a notice to let you know we’re making changes to our Extra Small Mobile Plan. From 8 March 2021, we will be increasing the Extra Small (XS) Mobile Plan price from $40/mth to $45/mth. However, to offset this price increase for a period, we will be giving you a $5 credit for 6 months.
What do I need to do?
Nothing. If you’re happy to move to the new plan price and receive the credit, you don’t need to do anything; your service will automatically be updated to the $45 price and the new $5, 6 month credit will be added to your account.
I do not want to move to the new Extra Small Mobile Plan Our plans are month to month, so you can change to another plan or cancel your existing plan at any time without cancellation fees. Visit the online store to see details of other plans.
Please note, if you cancel your plan but are still paying off a mobile handset, you’ll need to pay out any remaining handset charges. This also applies to repayments on any accessories that are attached to your plan.

No excess data charges in Australia*
Month to month

All inclusions for use in Australia. If you exceed your included data allowance, your speeds will be capped at 1.5Mbps for the rest of the billing period.
Why have we made this change?
As part of the commitment to simplify our products and provide great service, we’re aligning all customers to our latest, in-the-market mobile plan pricing.
How does this affect my service?
Your monthly plan charge will change. You’ll still get the same data allowance each month, and your calls and SMS allowance will still be unlimited in Australia.
What other mobile plans do you offer?

I changed plans recently and I am not on the Extra Small Mobile Plan.
Please ignore this notification.
When will the plan change happen?
The plan changes will take effect from 8 March 2021.
I will be receiving the monthly credit. What happens after the 6-month period? After you receive the $5 monthly credit 6 times, it will stop being applied to your bill. You will be notified the month before the credit is removed.
Do I need to change my direct debit?
If you've opted for a fixed amount to be deducted via direct debit each month, please check that the new plan price will not exceed your limit. Learn more about managing your direct debit payments.
How do I know what plan I’m on?
Just check your most recent Telstra bill. The name of the plan will be listed against each service.
What are my options if I don’t want to change to this plan?
If you don’t want to move to the new plan, you can change plans or cancel your service at any time without early termination fees.
If you want to change plans, you can find more information about our current mobile plans and find the right plan for your needs by visiting our online store or your nearest Telstra Store.
If you cancel your plan but are still paying off a mobile handset or any accessories, you’ll need to pay out any remaining handset charges. You can check the outstanding amount owed for your device in the My Telstra app.
Will I lose any existing credits?
No, the $5 credit for 6 months you will get to transition to this new plan price, is in addition to any service credits you may already have.
