We’re phasing out a few Pre-Paid features.

We’re always working to streamline our plans. That’s why we’re phasing out some features on your mobile plan from 13 October 2020.

Like most providers, we need to do this from time to time so we continue to meet the needs of every one of our customers.


What’s changing from 13 October?
Here are some of the features that won’t be available on your current mobile plan from 13 October 2020. These changes will be automatic, so you don’t need to do a thing:


International roaming 

You won’t be able to use your service overseas or purchase new data packs to use overseas. We plan to re-launch a new international roaming feature in mid-2021.

If you are currently roaming overseas, your Telstra Pre-Paid service will stop working on 13 October. You'll still be able to connect to Wi-Fi to use the internet. However, you won't be able to make or receive calls or texts with your Telstra Pre-Paid service.


If you need a mobile service to use while overseas, we suggest moving your phone number to our month-to-month mobile plans or looking at local service providers. Please call us free of charge on +61 439 125 109 from your Pre-Paid service to discuss options. 


Telstra Air

Your Pre-Paid service will no longer be able to access our Telstra Air Wi-Fi spots from 1 January.


If your recharge is no longer suitable for your needs without Telstra Air, you pay request a partial refund. Find out more about your options here.
