I have an iPad and Telstra sim and want to activate it under my mobile plan

You need a separate plan for the iPad as there aren't any data share SIMs for consumer plans.

You can have it under the same bill though.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
