cannot send emails from bigpond account on ipad

After changing password, I can no longer send emails from my ipad.  Receiving email is fine.  I have deleted the account and set up again, but still unable to send email.  Message comes up that my username or password for my account is incorrect.''.  To my knowledge I have entered everything correctly.  Can anyone help with this?
