Hi there Hems,
It seems like your account has been configured on the new device using POP instead of IMAP which is what we usually recommend. POP will download all of the emails currently shown in the Inbox, which IMAP doesn't do. From here, just remove the account that is configured in your new iPad and use these settings to configure it for IMAP.
