Ipad (4th generation) LTE not working with prepaid microsim

Hi all, just got the latest 4th generation  ipad with a prepaid microsim from Telstra. All activated and accessing 3G data no problem but in LTE coverage areas (where my iPhone 5 has full LTE reception) the ipad is still stuck on 3G. And yes in settings LTE is switched on. Is this some kind of error or does telstra restrict prepaid customers to 3G only?...would be kind of harsh if they did...

I thought so! So if its not that do I go to Telstra or apple about this? I cant see anyone else on crowd support or elsewhere with a similar issue....

I have a 4th Generation iPad and I don't have the issue you are describing.

 

Can you perhaps try resetting the network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings) and see how you go?

 

Failing that, you would perhaps start with Apple, then go on to Telstra from there.

Thanks for the tip but No luck! Post in apple forums awaiting response so will see how I go. I will try an apple service centre next and or/Telstra shop and let you know of the solution here
