Sim Activation

I bought on line and had delivered a Telstra pre paid sim for my new iPad.  I activated it last Friday 3rd July at 1pm and received an email to say it my activation request was received and was pending.  Now at 2.30 pm Monday 6th it is still pending.  

I tried to ring Telstra but phone dropped out after 2 hours. 

I simply want to know if there is a problem or should I just keep waiting.  There is no way you can actually talk to Telstra at the moment.
