Do you need to have credit on your phone to use Telstra air on your.pho

I'm wondering if you still need to have credit on your phone to use telsta air ,it says it's free bit never seems to work

You need an Active Recharge (which means that your recharge hasn't expired) on your Pre-Paid mobile service to access Telstra Air.
