Sim

I removed Telstra Sim from iPhone 4S to install Global Sim for test. When I returned the Telstra Sim to the phone and with Wi-Fi off I got the following messages when seeking data 'Could not activate mobile data network. You are not subscribed to a mobile data service'.

My setting appear correct: Data Roaming-On, APN telstra.wap .Could the Sim card be faulty.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Sim

Its possible its faulty but if you go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings, that should fix it

Re: Sim

Although you can, SIM's aren't meant to be hot swappable I.e. Changing SIM's while the device is on.. Potentially you've cooked the sim.

Re: Sim

I went to Tech Bar at Balmain. Resolved. Apparenlly the Global SIM generated something called Profile in Settings. This was removed and problem resolved. Thanks Matthew at Telstra Balmain
