Hi There

How do I unlock Parental control on my NBN modem

I've tried with telstra 24x7 app, Telstra Homedashboard app, and with 3 long call to telstra service where at the third call I've been advise that someone would contact me in the next 24 hours, this was 5 days ago.

thanks

Re: Parental Control

If you tap or click on the drop down arrow on the right hand side of the DNS a list of DNS services is displayed. Select a service for both IPv4 DNS 1, IPv4 DNS 2,  IPv6 DNS 1 and IPvV6 DNS 2 and save settings.

See section 32 of document linked in this post.

Hi @RitzS

To bypass Telstra Broadband Protect you need to change your DNS to someone like Googles 8.8.8.8.

To that will depend on your modems model.

Refer to this link from @cf4 for general help https://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/my-telstra-app/telstra-home-dashboard-app/m-p/880192/highligh...

Otherwise, the DNS server settings are found in the Modems Settings/Local Network/DHCP Settings.

There is currently an issue with Telstra Broadband Protect but no ETA on a fix.

Footnote: I dont work for Telstra, I just try to help out fellow Telstra customers.

Re: Parental Control

On the Gen 2 modem there is a drop down list of DNS services at Advanced > Local Network. Select a Non Telstra IPv4 and IPv6 DNS from the drop down menu. Save settings then disconnect and reconnect your device.

To log into the modem open a web browser on a device connected to modem and go to http://192.168.0.1, password is Telstra. Image below is for the Arcadyan version of the smart moden. The Technicolor version of the smart modem is similar.
