Can I purchase the Telstra Gateway MAX 2 from a Telstra store or is a online only

As far as I know we do have some stock of modems in store, but I'm not sure if you can purchase them outright or if they are for people ordering new broadband services. You can definitely order those by calling our Sales team on 1800 220 033 though.
