Can't receive emails.

Hi all, really hoping someone can help me as I'm not that good with technical stuff on the computer and am having real trouble working this one out.  

I came to send some emails yesterday and received a notification saying it was rejected:

 

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'hi honey', Account: 'mail.bigpond.com', Server: 'mail.bigpond.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 nskntcmgw06p BigPond Outbound [OB105. Connection refused. 120.145.129.190 is listed on the Exploits Block List (XBL). Please visit http://www.spamhaus.org/xbl/ for more information.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F

 

Is anyone able to help me at all.

An explanation for it has been posted in an earlier thread I found:

It should not affect your ability to receive e-mail, or send e-mail to recipients who (or whose mail servers) are not using Spamhaus on their end.

Cant Send emails

Hi Telstra I am regularyly getting blocked from sending email when I am on ship,

 

Spamhaus and Cloudmark

 

I have scanned my compuetr with Trojan Killer, Norton and Spybot - I have even re configured/re set the entire machine

 

This appears to be your contractor getting a bit too enthusisatic and maybe because when on ship the system is VERY SLOW and often hand (VSAT)

 

the latest message:

I have had this one de-listed but I have had to do this many times in recent week and last time I used my computer for e-mail was a week ago - this also affects sending e-mail from my iphone over wireless /VSAT

When I am on ship this is very stressful not only to me but my family and friends - please sort this out and organise with spamhaus and cloudmark to stop harrassing me or I will be forced to look at other service providers

Hey Ozzifutura,


This issue would be that someone connecting to the Ships internet has been marked as spam, meaning that the IP address of the connection has been barred. We do not have any control over Spamhaus or Cloudmark, so we cannot force the unbarring. Unfortunately, if you have had it delisted in the past, then another user on the connection may be causing it to be reblocked. Can you try accessing webmail direct? Sometimes this can bypass this issue Smiley Happy
