That is only possible by using an app on a computer (eg Thunderbird or Outlook) to connect to your mail. The webmail interface will only let you delete up to 50 at messages at a time.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
