Hi
Recently got a new desktop with outlook 2016 on it. I have set it up as best as I can, send and receive emails OK.
I want it to delete the emails off the IPs (bigpond) server once downloaded to my computer. How do I get it to do this?
Thanks
Andy.

In order to change the account type, you will need to delete the account settings and re-create it as a POP type account.
IMAP allows you to synchronise multiple devices with the emails stored on the server, including the personalised folders.
The new Telstra Mail platform also has a much larger storage available than the previous BigPond Mail server did.

Re: deleting emails off the server with outlook 2016.
Hi
Tried this but cannot change the incoming to POP it is stuck with IMAP and there does not seem anywhere to determine whether to keep them on the server or not.
It seems slightly, but significantly different to the stuff you posted.
