Email disruption

I haven’t been able to load my bigpond email on my laptop for nearly a month. Telstra says there is “ disruption” but just how long is this going to continue? My cache is now over 3000 and I can not clear it. I can load on iPad and iPhone. Getting extremely frustrated. How can a disruption continue for nearly a month? 
Any suggestions please?
