Email issues when changing to Telstra from Internode

When we switched to Telstra a few months ago, we were assured that we could keep our same email address. We were with Internode at the time. Our email has been working normally but this morning we find we have no email and we had a message pop up to say that the account is suspended or closed. This is an urgent situation because we both need email for work that we carry out. Does anyone have a solution?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Was the email address supplied by Internode? If it was, and you are no longer a customer of theirs, it has probably been removed from their system.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Re: Email issues when changing to Telstra from Internode

Thank you jupiter. We have it sorted now. We were not ever told that our email provider would still be Internode and that in 3 months it would be cut off. If we want to continue to use that email address, we have to pay $30/year each. We will have to start changing everything to gmail now. I think that we were mislead because the whole reason we initiated the change was because the email service had become so bad with Internode.
