Have Embedded Links been Deactivated in Telstra Mail emails?

Telstra Mail has always been a humdinger of an application that causes no end of pain.

Recently, the links to articles in the news broadcast emails that I receive from SBS appear to have been deactivated.

Clicking on them does nothing - nada, zilch, nyet, dead!!

Clicking on the circled arrows that appear on the SBS video segments only reproduces the Telstra Mail page instead of the videos.

When I forward these emails to, say, Yahoo email services, the links work fine.

I have not made any changes to Telstra Mail settings nor my software security settings.

Does anyone else experience this?

Can someone clarify what could be causing it and how to rectify this, please?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Have Embedded Links been Deactivated in Telstra Mail emails?

Are you possibly referring to Telstra WebMail?.

- if so, it runs in an internet browser, and you could look at its settings or try a different browser.

Yes. It is Telstra Webmail.

Had a look at settings which don't have anything that affect this behaviour.

When I click on the link it takes my iPhone to my WebMail login page (in Safari , and then shows me my inbox.

Clicking on the link while still logged in to Telstra WebMail takes me straight to my inbox.

You might have a different experience.

I have the same experience with those clickable links.

I cannot click on those others which seem to have been deactivated

- these are usually on the images or the captions.

However, they are clickable when forwarded to my Yahoo email.

Really weird.
