Unable to login to bigpond email

Answered

I have two additional mailboxes for my young children.  They've been dormant (un accessed) for a long time  (12+ months) and struggling to have them reactivated. I've spent a considerable amount of time with Tesltra support via the on-line chat feature with no joy.

Does anyone have some advice?

(I'm not fussed about losing any correspondance held on the bigpond server but I need the mailboxes reactivated as these are the recovery e-mail addresses for some 3rd party websites.)

Re: Unable to login to bigpond email

Telstra Mail accounts are automatically deleted after 6 months of inactivity.

Given that since September 2020, Telstra Mail has stopped creating new email accounts, it may not be possible to get those accounts reactivated as they would be classified as new accounts (as they no longer exist).

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

@Mr-Dawkins, if they've been deactivated then it might not be possible to get those mailboxes back. Have you had a chat with our BigPond team about this? What was advised?
