Unable to send emails to bigpond emails

Everytime I try to send emails from my work email address to bigpond emails they bounce back with the following message

 

 <edit>@bigpond.com

    host extmail.bigpond.com [203.36.137.234]

    SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:

    554 Connection refused. See https://senderscore.org. IB114

 

I have checked several sights and have found no blacklist anywhere.

Can you please help to resolve this issue?

Hi Kirra, 

 

SenderScore is not actually a blacklist. It is a ‘reputation’ service. It gives mail servers a score from 0-100. 0 being bad, and 100 being good and then Telstra will apply rules based on reputation. With very low reputation we will block your access.

 

So the reason your getting the IB114 error would be due to your works email server having a low reputation with SenderScore.org. Poor reputations are normally due to compromised servers, or accounts on these servers sending spam or other bad mail.

 

At this point you'd need to report this to your works I.T. department so they can clean up the service or report it to the server owner.
