Buffering on Telstra TV and why I think it's a Telstra Problem

So here's what's happening.

 

100MB/s NBN , and I DO get 100MB/sec Smiley LOL

 

So here's what I see.

 

Foxtel Live shows via the Telstra TV are buffering constantly today and late last night.  So much so that it's unwatchable.  Rewinding using the TTV doesn't fix it. The buffering still happens.

 

Watching Anytime on Foxtel using the TTV has no issues - no buffering at all.

 

Ahah, you say.  It must be a Foxtel Problem!

 

Not so, says I, because Foxtel live TV works fine on the Laptops. Always works perfectly.

 

 

Ahah, you say. It must be the Foxtel App, so pass the ball to Foxtel.

 

Not so, says I. Not so fast.

 

When pressing the Home Button on the TTV remote, the little advert on the right of the home screen of the TTV either doesn't appear at all, or is slooooooow to appear.  You can sometimes see the little circle where the ad appears and it's stock still.

 

Let's add to the fact that ALL of the apps are slooooooooooow to connect, or I get timeouts on ALL of the apps, even Youtube.

 

Latest firmware,

 

Such issues are not appearing on the laptops or the descktop PC, or the tablet..........

Are you using Wifi or ethernet? Can you try switching.

Maybe try resetting the TTV network settings or just leaving the power out for awhile

No problems on my end.

 

I turned it on 15 mins ago (Fox League HD channel) loaded straight up and hasn't buffered once in this time.
