NBA App issue

Today I purchased my NBA League Pass subscription.
It works fine on my computer or my tablet but when I run the NBA League Pass app on the Telstra TV I get the message that "You do not have access to view this content. Please visit watch.nba.com to view your upgrade options.
I am guessing maybe this is a region problem because I am in Australia.
Any ideas on how to overcome this?
