A couple of things to try.
Press the Home button on the Telstra TV remote to make sure it has woken up.
Unplug the hdmi cable that connects your Telstra TV to your TV and then plug it in again.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
