Bulk add Safe/Blocked Senders/ to Telstra Mail

Answered

Hi,

Feature request for the web interface. Have two bigpond accounts hosted at telstra working well. The idea is to import the well populated black/white lists over from WLM, similar to how the contacts are handled, except for the csv format. Just a carriage return/linefeed separated list.

As a matter of interest, the Outlook web interface also has provision for "Safe Senders and Domains". That whitelist happens to be a subset of the whitelist in WLM (perhaps half the size)- the whitelist in WLM is modified regularly, but it's unlikely that list ever gets to be periodically exported to Outlook for X-Ref with the current contact list. It seems highly likely that Telstra Mail has the same functionality in that regard,  although whitelists and blacklists in client apps are not shared with those in any of the web interfaces.

Off-topic: the WLM setting for incoming mail was imap.telstra.com, used POP in the Telstra web interface as it was suggested in another thread,- does changing it to IMAP make any difference in there? Also, as a matter of interest, mail.bigpond.com works in WLM but not in Telstra Mail.

Thanks

Re: Bulk add Safe/Blocked Senders/ to Telstra Mail

Telstra Mail is a very simple system and probably doesn't have the functionality built-in that you get with the Outlook web interface (which Microsoft built features in to to work directly with the Outlook/WLM apps and vice versa).

Also, Telstra Mail appears to be in wind down mode as they stopped accepting new customers/accounts in September 2020, so it is unlikely that any new features will be introduced.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
