Lost Sim. Can I retrieve all messages back.

Hi. Am I able to somehow transfer my data SMS and photos over to just a phone until I can get into town and get new sim?

Your photos will still be on the device that you took then on. They are not stored on the SIM.

As far as your SMS goes, you won't be able to receive new ones until you get your new SIM.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
