Rewards points

What happens if I use my Telstra reward points to purchase something with it and after placing I activate Optus and Telstra is deactivating my account? Does Telstra still have to fulfill my order placed with the reward points I used? I have a confirmation that Telstra has received my order. Thanks.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Rewards points

When you purchase something in the Rewards store, the points are deducted immediately. If you have a confirmation then it should be OK.

When you went to Optus did you retain your Telstra email account? or was the Telstra communication via another email account that is still active? If so you will be able to follow it up if the article goes astray. Telstra Rewards aren't great with updating you on delivery status anyway.

What you won't be able to do, if there is no email or no Telstra ID, is to follow up the transaction via the My Telstra app or My Account webpage.

Re: Rewards points

You can send a test email to that account to check it.

If the email account is still active, then you will be able to log in to it using Telstra Webmail at least.
