Unable to add service to account



I've been trying for weeks to add my service to my Telstra ID so that I can access my account through the website and app however everytime I enter the account number and details I get the following error:


"Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred. There was a problem completing your request. Please try again later. If you need any help, contact us on 24x7 Chat"


Trouble is, I also can't sign into the app - whenever I try to it says it can't show my account details and then signs me out. There's also zero chat support at the moment and any attempt to call tech support about this ends up with the operator more confused than I am so I'm a bit stuck.
