What happened to Telstra’s services?

Telstra was once the greatest communications service provider. Now I can easily state both its customer service relations and the provision of adequate service have become one of, if not the most appalling and disgraceful. How can it be so bad that the magnitude of its incompetence appears to be deliberately self sabotaging it’s own reputation? Bills which have been paid are stated as overdue despite having evidence. Wifi and nbn issues have been persistently avoided, not only is the connection predominately poor but the wifi identification does not even register on any other device whether mobile or laptop for a period exceeding 3 months, and now that the issues have become so problematic that after more than 25 years I have decided to change service providers, I spend over an hour on hold only to be disconnected on 3 separate days consecutively. Am I the only one who is experiencing such a frustrating joke for service?
