StayConnected™ Data Back up - Things you need to know
Update:From 1 July 2020, StayConnected Advanced will no longer be available for new consumer customers. StayConnected Advanced will continue to be available to Small Business customers.
If you took up this extra before 1 July 2020, StayConnected Advanced can be redeemed as per the existing terms of this service. You can check to see if you have this extra in the My Telstra app or My Account.
Is the Cloud storage located locally or overseas?
Data is stored locally in Australia.
How much data can I back up with StayConnected?
Up to 10GB across contacts, photos and videos with StayConnected.
How can I check my data has backed up?
You can access your backed up data by logging into the StayConnected portal via My Account
How to access the StayConnected portal:
1. Log into your StayConnected portal via My Account (telstra.com/myaccount)
2. If you have multiple accounts, select the account that has the StayConnected Service
3. Click on your mobile number to access the plan detail page
4. Scroll down to Applied Add-ons – StayConnected and click Manage
Why can't I hear the alarm on my iPhone/iPad?
This is a limitation on the iOS. You device must be out of silent mode for this to work. Alternatively, use iCloud functionality to beep your device.
How do I restore my device?
If you’ve previously backed up your personal information - contacts, photos and videos using the 24x7 – Telstra StayConnected app, follow the steps below to restore them onto your exchange or replacement device.
